We at Lesedi la Batho believe that in order for our beneficiaries to engage in our services and become all they were destined to be - we must first meet their most basic needs. Our outreach department is committed to providing these commodities to those most in need – thanks to the support of our donors. In Matthew 25, Jesus reminds us that whatever we do for "the least of these", we do for Him. The need for our various community upliftment services is always there, and relies solely on contributions made by generous individuals. Please consider becoming a partner of our mission by making a monthly donation towards one of our various outreach programs - read on to find out more. |

home based care
Our team of experienced community care workers provide home-based care for community members who are infected with HIV/Aids and TB. Going door-to-door throughout our area, our CCW's use screening tools to identify infected or affected members of the community. These beneficiaries are then visited on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to encourage them to take their medication without defaulting, advise them on personal health and hygiene, and provide basic care to bedridden clients who are too sick to help themselves. They are encouraged to find interest in education or to develop themselves with skills that are available at our community center. This support ensures that the situation of infected community members does not deteriorate, and that they may still live an active, fulfilling life despite their condition.
