The Ratanang Day Care Centre, a project of Lesedi la Batho NGO, offers a quality early childhood development and care service for young mothers in our community, who are now enabled to continue their high school education, attend our free skills training programs, or seek employment to sustain their families - truly breaking their cycle of poverty. Our professionally trained, experienced and passionate educators provide concrete stimulation, genuine care and education of high standard, covering Basic Education, Social Development and Spiritual Guidance, for children from 6 months up to 6 years old (Grade R). We also provide three nutritional meals a day cooked by our hearty chef, Mam Monica - providing practical relief for needy families in our area. |

Most families we serve are not in a position to contribute even a partial fee towards helping us keep the doors open to the community. General individuals, who we fondly call Baemedi's, from all over the world choose to sponsor a child's monthly fees, ensuring the future of Ratanang and our impact in the lives of young families. The monthly fee per child is R400, which funds quality educational material, qualified care givers, 3 meals a day, utilities, toiletries and transportation. All donations go directly the to the day care’s operational expenses, and all donations are tax-deductible! If you choose to sign up as a Baemedi, you'll be matched with a child in need of sponsorship, receiving their unique introductory profile as well as two letters a year, on your birthday and for Christmas, as well as regular general updates from the day care.
