  • Our team has developed an internal COVID-19 Policy which is strictly adhered to by all team members.
  • Any person with a body temperature of 38°C and above is identified as a potential COVID-19 patient and not allowed into the premises, and is advised to get tested at the nearest clinic.

MATERIAL DONATIONS

Lesedi la Batho has been been fortunate to conduct various outreach and social relief services, providing food parcels, hygiene goods, clothing, baby and winter supplies for 500+ families during hard lockdowns in 2020 and 2021! This is only thanks to the support of generous individuals who contributed to our Coronavirus Relief Fund, and the swift and compassionate emergency assistance from new and existing partners.

SUPPORT FOR VULNERABLE GROUPS

Despite lock down measures, we have continued to provide support for vulnerable groups through remote telephonic counselling, intimate support groups, and material donations. These vulnerable groups include survivors of gender-based violence, commercial sex workers, TB/HIV affected, teenage mothers and local youth - all now more vulnerable than ever.

New Partners

Lesedi la Batho secured new partners throughout the pandemic in an effort to urgently empower our community with knowledge and resources to reduce the spread of COVID-19:
  • COVID-19 relief efforts
  • Protective supplies for the vulnerable
  • Preventative COVID-19 education & screening in schools and remote areas
  • Support for survivors of gender-based violence - a dire social issue exacerbated by the strains and restrictions of the pandemic.

With the support of these proactive partnerships, we can collectively beat COVID-19 in the Mabopane community - thank you to our valued sponsors!
